দেশের সব কারাগারে সতর্কতা জারি করা হয়েছে। জঙ্গি ছিনিয়ে নেওয়ার হুমকি সংক্রান্ত একটি চিঠি পাওয়ার পর কারা অধিদপ্তর বাড়তি নিরাপত্তা মূলক ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করেছে। এরপর থেকে জঙ্গি, দুর্ধর্ষ সন্ত্রাসীদের গতিবিধি কঠোরভাবে নজরদারির নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়। নিরাপত্তামূলক ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ সংক্রান্ত ব্যাপারে পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়েছে ১৮টি বিষয় মেনে চলতে।
সোমবার ঢাকা কেন্দ্রীয় কারাগারের একজন কর্মকর্তা জানান, কারা অধিদপ্তর থেকে এ সংক্রান্ত চিঠি পেয়ে এরই মধ্যে একজন জেলারের নেতৃত্বে ৮ সদস্যের কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে। নিরাপত্তা সংক্রান্ত সার্বিক বিষয় তারা দেখভাল করছেন। দেশের অন্য সব কারাগারেও স্টাইকিং ফোর্স গঠন করা হয়।
জানা গেছে- কারাগারের বাইরের গেটে দায়িত্বপালনকারীদের বুলেটপ্রুফ জ্যাকেট, হেলমেট নিশ্চিত করে আগতদের মেটাল ডিটেক্টর দিয়ে তল্লাশি ব্যবস্থা নিশ্চিত করতে হবে। ডিউটিতে সশস্ত্র সেন্ট্রি নিয়োগ, ও অস্ত্রাগারের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে হবে। কারাগারের চারপাশের সীমানাপ্রাচীর সুরক্ষিত রেখে অ্যালার্ম সিস্টেম পরীক্ষা করে প্রস্তুত করে রাখতে হবে।
