সিলেটের গোলাপগঞ্জে সিলিন্ডার জালিয়াতির অভিযোগে ৪ জনকে আটক করেছে পুলিশ। বুধবার (২৯ নভেম্বর) রাত ৭টার দিকে উপজেলার পৌর এলাকার সরস্বতি গ্রাম থেকে জালিয়াতির সরঞ্জামসহ তাদের আটক করা হয়।
আটককৃতরা হলো -পৌর এলাকার সরস্বতী নিজগঞ্জ এলাকার মৃত আব্দুর রাজ্জাকের ছেলে বদরুল আলম, রনকেলী উত্তর গ্রামের আকুল আলীর ছেলে মনাই আহমদ (১৯), এবং একই গ্রামের আস্তকিন আলীর ছেলে জামাল আহমদ (২৭) ও কামাল আহমদ (২২)।
স্থানীয় ও পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায়, বুধবার রাতে উপজেলার পৌর এলাকার সরস্বতি নিজগঞ্জে একটি বাড়িতে সিলিন্ডার জালিয়াত চক্রের কয়েকজন সদস্য সিলিন্ডার জালিয়াতি করছিল। গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে গোলাপগঞ্জ মডেল থানার একদল পুলিশ এই বাড়িটিতে অভিযান চালিয়ে এই ৪ জন সিলিন্ডার জালিয়াত চক্রের সদস্যকে আটক করে।
এ ব্যাপারে গোলাপগঞ্জ মডেল থানার ওসি (তদন্ত) গ্রেপ্তারের সততা নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, আটকৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে মামলার প্রস্তুতি চলছে।
